New Feature – PocoRangers

Introducing Ranger Points, a new way for broadcasters to earn Support Point bonuses!

Ranger Points are similar to Fan Noise bonuses, but instead they can be earned on a daily basis.

Everyone’s favorite Items, the PocoRangers, will now earn Ranger Points for broadcasters. When the broadcaster collects enough Ranger Points, they’ll be awarded Support Point bonuses.

These new Support Point bonuses are a great way to provide a little extra help towards the Rank Meter.

New Feature – Titles

Introducing Titles, a new way to enjoy Pococha!

Titles are a new unique way to show off your achievements.

Users can earn, choose, & attach Titles to their profile. There will be a small amount of Titles available when the feature is launched, and we will slowly add more.

New Event – BC Jamboree

Starting in December, we will be introducing a new type of Event.

Are you a broadcaster who enjoys supporting other broadcasters? This Event is for you!

New Event: BC Jamboree

Starting in December, we will be introducing a new type of Event.

Are you a broadcaster who enjoys supporting other broadcasters? This Event is for you!

In the BC Jamboree Event, broadcasters can send special Collab Items that will contribute 100% to Event Points. (Note: “BC” stands for “broadcaster”)

In this new Event, the prizes will also get bigger as more Event Points are generated!

What Are The Rules?

  1. Event Points can only be earned from the special Collab Items.
  2. Collab Items will contribute 100% value to Event Points, regardless if the sender is a broadcaster or viewer.
  3. Collab Items will only contribute to Event Points, and will not contribute to anything else – like Support Points, Engagement Diamonds, Fan Noise, viewer level, etc
  4. Broadcasters can convert their Diamonds into Coins to support (100% value).
  5. In this event, any Items sent using free coins will be subject to a devaluation.

What Is The Prize?

The top 8 winners will receive an Amazon gift card.

However, the amount of each gift card can increase! When the total amount of all Event Points reaches certain levels, the value of each gift card will also increase!

So, broadcasters can work together to increase the Event Points and earn bigger prizes!

Who Should Join This Event?

Collaboration events are intended to be a place for broadcasters who want to support each other.

In these events, only Collab Items will generate Event Points. However, these special Items will not contribute to anything other than Event Points – such as Support Points, Engagement Diamonds, viewer level, Fan Noise, etc.

Supporting broadcasters who convert their Diamonds to Coins may have an advantage over Pure Viewers who must purchase Coins.

For these reasons, broadcasters who primarily receive support from pure viewers may experience a disadvantage in collaboration events.

We encourage broadcasters who focus on pure support to continue joining our diverse lineup of normal events, where they will have the advantage!

Why Was BC Jamboree Created?

At Pococha, we want to create a platform for a wide variety of broadcasters who enjoy Pococha in different ways.

Pococha’s main philosophy, and many broadcasters’ as well, is to focus on generating support from fans who are not other broadcasters – we call these Pure Viewers.

We want our broadcasters to have long & sustainable careers with real fanbases that can support their goals. We have seen that many creators who rely mostly on support from other creators, or who stay afloat from “trading”, often have difficulty maintaining that success in the long run.

Pococha’s mission is to create deep & genuine connections between viewers and a broadcaster.

So our normal Events, and many other aspects of the app, are designed to spotlight Pure Viewers and maximize their support.

This is why in normal events, broadcasters who choose to send Items to other broadcasters are subject to a decrease in the value of their Item.

However, we also recognize that many broadcasters enjoy supporting for genuine reasons. So we wanted to create a new Event where this kind of broadcaster support would be worth the full value!

We want to allow separate spaces for both Pure Viewers and supporting broadcasters, so they can each thrive!

New: Pococha Titles

Introducing Titles, a new way to enjoy Pococha!

Titles are a new unique way to show off your achievements.

Users can earn, choose, & attach Titles to their profile. There will be a small amount of Titles available when the feature is launched, and we will slowly add more.

In addition to current Pococha achievements like Rank, Core Fans, & Events, we wanted to create another method for users to pursue exciting goals and display them.

So, we have created the new Title feature where users can collect achievements such as “number of years using Pococha,” or “number of times winning an Event”. The Title will allow users to have a record of these awesome feats!

How Do Titles Work?

1. Each user can display 3 Titles on their profile

Users can collect more than 3 Titles, but only 3 will be displayed on the profile at once.

2. Titles can be chosen & changed in profile settings

You can open the title edit screen by clicking Profile ➝ Gear Icon ➝ Edit Titles. Select the Titles of your choice for each of the slots.

As more Titles are added in the future, we will create a filtering function and a page that shows how to obtain each title.

3. When a viewer enters a broadcast, their Main Title will be shown

Titles are a great way for new viewers to show off their achievement. So, a user’s Main Title will appear next to their username when they enter a broadcast.

Setting a Main Title is not required. If you do not set it, no Title will shown when a viewer enters your broadcast.

Introducing Ranger Points

Update 11.21.23

We have added a “Ranger Points Page” to user’s profiles.

The Ranger Points Page can help broadcaster’s and viewers track their Ranger Points!

The page will help track the following:

  • Broadcaster’s current Ranger Points
  • Ranger Points needed until next bonus
  • Amount of Support Points at next bonus
  • Total bonus Support Points earned today
  • Which viewers have sent which PocoRanger Items

The Ranger Points Page can be found by clicking on the user’s profile, then clicking “Ranger Points” below the user’s Rank Meter.

Be sure to discuss Ranger Point strategy with your Family, and encourage each viewer to help you earn them! Broadcasters who take advantage of Ranger Points can have a leg up on their competition.

Estimated Start Date: Wed Nov 8, 8:00pm PT (End Time)
The Ranger Points feature is expected to begin at this time, but may be delayed or changed if necessary.
Be sure to update your app to the newest version.

How Do Ranger Points Work?

Each of the 6 main PocoRanger Items will generate 10 Ranger Points for the broadcaster.

Viewers, this is a great way to help contribute to the broadcaster’s success! The lower priced PocoRangers will earn just as many points as the higher priced ones!

After End Time, the broadcaster’s Ranger Points will reset to 0. Once the points reset, the broadcaster can begin collecting Ranger Points again and unlocking bonuses from the first level.

Each of the 6 PocoRanger Items will earn 10 Ranger Points only once per day, per viewer.

Pro Tip: Since each viewer can send a maximum of 60 pts per day, the best way to earn the most Ranger Points is to increase the number of viewers who send PocoRangers!

How Do Ranger Points Earn Support Points?

Once the broadcaster has earned enough Ranger Points, they can unlock Support Point bonuses.

For Example:

  • Once 50 Ranger Points are collected, the broadcaster will earn 500 Support Points.
  • Once they collect 50 more Ranger Points (100 total), they’ll earn another 500 Support Points.

Each broadcaster can earn a maximum of 5,000 Ranger Points each day – which would earn a total of 58,000 Support Points!

For the full list of Support Point bonuses from Ranger Points, please see the list at the bottom of this page.

How Can I Track Ranger Points?

A chat notification will appear each time a broadcaster earns Ranger Points, showing the total amount.

We also plan to introduce a “Ranger Points Page” in the near future that will allow users to more easily track their points.
